Futuristic Robot Glam!!

It's not like I went to Otafest Lite with low expectations. I just figured that it would be a simple, laid back, fun time to see friends and have an excuse to wear a costume. And fun photo time of course. Well, that is exactly what I got! I had a nice time. It was a little nostalgic even. I remember when Otafest actually was that small. haha. Now I feel old. I entered the cosplay contest again. I think I did really well in my skit. However, I still couldn't win it. Baaaaah. Then Tali and I got wicked pictures with Mike and Keith. Her Arbok was really cool. I hope she didn't cut her lip too bad on those fangs! And I didn't think that Pokemon Gijinkas could be glamorous, but I did pretty well there. So reflective!!!

After that, Tali and I just went out for Vietnamese food. tasty! When I got to Jared's he wasn't home yet. T.T He was with his family. His aunt died earlier this week. Rather tragic actually. So we've been chilling, playing games and being all laid back. I'm trying to be supportive, but it's really awkward for me. I've never lost anyone I was close to. So I don't know what it's like.

At least tomorrow is Friday!

Yeah! Tali visited me at work today. It was weird because I was introducing her as Katie to my co workers. But it was a nice surprise. Arbok will be pretty sweet.

Since yesterday was my day off, I went to Jared's to drop off my stuff for the weekend and bring home a few things. I brought Magneton and a change of clothes, plus the make up I require. Took home boots and Norman. It was nice to visit Jared in the middle of the week for a change. We have a running joke that I'm just his sexy weekend girl friend and he's got an uggos weekday girl friend that actually drives and buys him things. I was glad to see it that it's actually just a joke. hahaha. ^^

Also, I made my staff project yesterday. The whole frelling thing. Yeah. Awesome. So I hung it up today. It's really pretty. Everyone loves it. I wonder if I can get away with making another dress for New Years. Or if I'll want to. Making formal wear is fun, but it's not fun when you have no place to wear it. I have so much!!!!

I tried adding to Celes today. Made a belt. I've got to put some beads or something on it. And a pouch. There is nothing better then a costume with a pouch or pockets. Most of the time, you don't have to bring a bag! I'm just at a stalemate with Celes. It's almost done!!! But I just don't know what to add. And I'm too lazy to try it all on right now because it's so cold upstairs. There must be an insulation or draft problem... windows? I dunno. It's just not right.

And you know what else is not right? I just typed the word "dunno" and I didn't get spell checked. Someone check a dictionary. That isn't a real word!!! IS IT?!??!?!

So much anger

I had a good day at work. It felt like a mini Friday because I have the holiday off tomorrow. I picked up my staff project. Vogue pattern 1031. I'm so excited. My boss wants a few party/formal dresses for the holiday season. So I'm making this one in red textured satin. Well it looks like there is a texture. I guess it's just a print. Also got some brown vinyl to make Chloe's accessories. (I finished her jewelry last night.)

I'm actually pretty excited because the computer got moved out of the living room. We finally have a computer desk and it's not in a high traffic area. However, the internet connection is unreliable for whatever reason. I don't know why. I'm not good with these things. But most of the time, when I try to use it, it never works. It's driving me insane. I just want to cry.

This weekend is that lame little con Otafest-Lite. The Pokemon Gijinka are going to be great. I don't really know what I expect from the convention. I heard that there were going to be vendors. I should have bought a space. I totally thought of that too late. I've got so much stuff to sell. T.T

Ugh I don't know why this stupid computer is stressing me out so much. Maybe it's because if I can't check my messages, I'll miss out on something important and everything will be ruined!!! That is great cause for anxiety. I should really get my costume packed up now.

I all of a sudden really miss Jared. Even after three years, I'm still infatuated with him. When we went to Montana's on Saturday, the server thought we had only been together for a few weeks. We must have been really cute. And I'm always talking about him at work. Every funny story I tell my co-workers seems to involve him. And I know we've had REALLY bad times in the past, I feel that we've been really happy lately.

A lovely weekend is about to end. T.T

Saturday was such a good day!!! I played Digital Devil Saga in the morning, then went to Kat's place. We had happy meals and sorted through her stock of clothing. I picked out many things things that I may buy from her. I get paid this week. So I will buy as much as I can with the money I am able to set aside from that pay cheque. Some super cute tops and a few Meta things. ^^ Hurray!!!!

Then Jared got home from work/Street Fighter tourney and said he wants to take me out. But I was suppose to go to Daniel's party.. Oops. I feel pretty bad about skipping the party, especially since Mike was going to come all the to pick me up. But Jared took me out on a really nice date! We went to Montanas and the food was delicious! Greek salad and sweet potato fries. I had the WORST feta breath ever!! It was hilarious. We were thinking about seeing a movie, but we didn't really feel like it. So I walked into the theatre and walked out with popcorn. We went home and watched Cartman sing Poker Face. It wasn't the best episode of South Park, but I have a new found respect for that song.

Today, we went on an Ikea adventure. You should know our Ikea adventures never turn out. First, I bought lunch at the Vietnamese place there. Then we went to Best Buy and bought Muramasa for the Wii. We also looked at netbooks for myself. Although the really cute Sony one that fits in the chick's pocket is really awesome, I found that I can get a really decent one that may not be as pretty, but it's half the price. 0.o Then at Ikea, we walked through the whole effing showroom, had a snack at the restaurant, and we picked out a panda plushie for me. They didn't have what we came for. But I did get a panda. His name is Norman.

back to work

The weekend was fun! Halloween was great. Met up with Tali at her work and then Adam drove us around. We finally made it to Vinyl. It is nice in there, and the music they played was pretty good! However, it was Halloween, so it was more crowded, really hot and rather stinky. But the dancing was good! Until the dance floor got too full. So I wouldn't mind going back there another night. I really liked my costume, but the cape was probably too warm. Maybe a bad choice. Oh well! It was a good night over all.

And Jared is feeling better. He was mostly okay by Sunday. And I'm no longer ill either. Just random coughing. And my nose was really itchy yesterday. It was odd. Oh well.

I also might start making dance things for a woman that make Irish dance costumes. So I may start by making her crinolines. The mock up I'm making from left over metallic tissue taffeta and liquid metal. It's just left over fabric. I secretly hope she can actually use it. But I'm not sure the length will be right. Making these things for her might be good for extra money, but I'm not looking forward to giving up my free time! I hope it works out.

I'm going to be okay!

I can't say the same for my boyfriend. Holy crap. I of course, he couldn't really warn me before I came over because my phone was out of minutes. Good thing I have some now. At least I'm feeling better. I'm going to stay over and help him out a bit. I am however, going to lock him in his room and not breathe in his presence. I made him soup last night. That was nice. I think he is worse today, compared to last night. As long as he doesn't have a fever, I'm not going to be all paranoid about it. ^^;

To make sure I am 100% for tonight, I'm going to eat heartily and drink a few pots of green tea. I also had some vitamin water. I think there is some more. Best I can do with what Jared has. This sore throat is the only thing bugging me now.

I did get my ticket to the Halloween party after work. Sure, I only saved $1, but at least I know I'll get in! I'll make my way to Tali's work tonight so we can go together. ^^ I'm pretty excited. My Raven turned out HAWT!

Owwww

Woke up this morning with my nose-ring-screw-thing half way out my nose. Ahh! That was awful. Especially since I'm not even suppose to take it out a for a month. Let's hope that doesn't happen again.

Anyway, I was in a panic this week about not being able to go out for Halloween. I didn't think I'd have the money. Eff. But I managed to scrounge up something. I think I'll live. And now that I'm sick, I hope that I am able to go out at all. But I'm far better then yesterday, and survived work today. Maybe I won't work tomorrow? But I need money!!! Can't win.

I'm going to be Raven on Saturday night. Now I've got her outfit from the newer animated series or the comic Teen Titans Go. But since Tali wants to go to Vinyl Retro Lounge, I want to make her old school dress costume. Benefits of this outfit are the long boots. They will keep me warmer. And the dress will be sexier anyway. But attaching the cape is different. I think I can make that in one night. Yeah. Better get to it.

This weekend was pretty great. I got to spend night with Jared. We got Taco Bell and watched Naruto. Pretty hilarious. He was just so curious about the show, he decided he had to watch it. So I've sat in on about 3 of them. It's just fun to watch silly things with him. He's super cute because he actually seems to be getting into it. Hilarious!

On Saturday, I was at home sewing. I was making a purple croc print jacket. I didn't have shoulder pads so I couldn't continue.

Then yesterday, I met up with Mike and I got my nose pierced! I really like it. And Mike got his lobes done. Super cool! I went first and I was okay. But as watching Mike getting his done, I fainted!! The piercer was super sweet. We talked about Dragon Ball Z most of the time! We then went to the mall. I needed something to eat. Then we realized the mall was closing and we had to get to Claires to buy Kat some Hello Kitty stuff right away!!! It was urgent. The party was a good time! Alexis and I were amazing Madonna's. There were cupcakes and seeing people was really fun.

Shopping is fun

Yeah, I did more shopping this weekend! But not as much as last time! ^^

Did a random photo shoot Saturday afternoon. Did some pictures of an outfit I made and then did a swim suit set. I'm sure those pictures will be quite nice. Something different. Which is funny because my normal pictures would be considered something different to most people. But with me, it's the other way around!

Afterwards, I met up with Mike and Terry at Chinook. I bought the next Dune book I need! We killed some time, then decided to go bother Chris at Sunridge until he was done work. While we were there, I bought a silver sequin covered knit cap and ear muffs. Then Denny's, and we went to Chris' place and watched How I met your Mother.

Today, Jared and I went to Market Mall. So I got a really cool necklace. It's like a gun metal, chain mail bandana. So wicked! And I also got some black flats with star studs all over them. ^^;

Now Jared is watching Naruto. Pretty funny. And now I'm going to make dinner! Ribs with some vegetables and pancakes!!!

4 day weekend

Friday was great! Met up with Holly at Fashion Central and the Alberta Fashion Week madness began. Got my hair all curled as usual. As did everyone else of course. The show started late of course. But it was fun! Modeling for Holly is great. Her clothes are so cute!! Then after the show, we went to get some photos done at a model's house so that her husband could take pictures. But only three of us could make it!

Saturday, I spent at Jared's house. Hilarity happened there. While he was at work, I was playing FFVIII. The reason I started that the new file, was to get him right before the fight with Adel. He is at there in his file, but his party is really weird and he couldn't beat her. I was going to fix his party, but I felt like starting one from scratch. So I got to Adel, beat her, and then accidentally saved over that file right after. hahaha... 50 hours down the drain. So I better just go fix his party. Funny thing is, he was actually really disappointed and mad at me! Then we had a really great laugh about it when we told Graham and Shannon on the way to Ho Won for dinner. Yummmm.

On Sunday, I went home for Thanksgiving dinner. Awkward as always. At least my aunt and uncle wasn't there this time. Ugh. It was really cold in my sewing room. There is some kind of draft through the window or something... ugh. So I played Disgaea on my PSP for a little while. Then I finally decided to work on Celes. Made some really excellent bracers.

Monday was a good time. Went to Cross Iron Mills with my parents. I'm such a slow shopper, that I only had time to go to Winners, Forever 21, Game Stop and H&M. Wasted time at Winners looking a a really pretty winter coat only to realize it was too long. Ankle length is not smart in dirty deep snow. Bought some great clothes at Forever 21 and H&M. Plus Persona for PSP and Street Fighter Anniversary at Game Stop. So money was spent. haha.

should say something

I don't know if I have anything awesome to post. I just thought I would.

As for cosplay, Magneton is coming along. Yeah. Magnaton for sure at the Pokemon Gijinka thing. I was able to make the dress part for free at work. I called it a "robot" costume and made it as a Halloween time project. It's basically a bustier and little silver poofy dress. Then I'll have tights, silver ugg boots and long silver gloves. I'm also making a cap with the magnet things on it and a bolt on the top. The chin strap is also going to have bolts on it. Then I'm going to make the other 2 guys out of craft foam and attach them to the skirt. I spent under $10 on this costume.

Today, I thought of getting my nose pierced. Could be cool and edgey. I also figured I should get my bags cut. Which would be a total waste since I have clip on bangs. However, they need to be worn with a head band. And then if it's windy, the hair blows out place and exposes the netting... ugh. I don't like how I look with my hair parted in the centre. So I'm always brushing it aside or pulling it back. Might as well have bangs...?

Other then that, I've just been working. I'm going to see Holly tomorrow for a fitting. I'm modelling for her next Friday. Then Sunday is the comic show. Pretty fun.

I wish I had my sketch book handy!

This week has been lame I guess. I had to train my work-BFF on cash. It was really fun to hang out with her all day at work and not getting scolded for slacking around! However, we can never have lunch together because we'll be covering each other on cash now. pwnd.

Then on Thursday, I got my hair chopped. I like it. Sort of like Aeon Flux without the huge curl flips in the front... but I could style it like that. It's funny because I wanted to be her last year, and I was going to buy a wig. I didn't. But now, I've got the hair and I have no time to be her before it grows out! I'm not totally used to the cut right now. I've got to work on styling it good.

On Friday, I made a pair grey suit pants. They are really tight and really high waisted. So now I really want a thin belt to go around my waist. I might have to make it. ugh.

Yesterday, I was going to go to the sewing and craft show with Skor, but she couldn't make it. So I was quite sad. I called up Katty. We went to the Eaton Centre. I know the mall is under HEAVY construction right now and half the stores were closed. But we figured it would be a decent idea just to check it out. Less places to spend money! We weren't really planning on spending money anyway. But I bought some cheap ass winter boots. Metallic silver Ugg looking boots. Space boots. haha!! And proper C.Viper earrings. I FINALLY found some. Now I don't have to wear craft foam. I was looking for that thin belt. But it was no where to be found.

Also, Tali wants to be Pokemon Gijinka for Otafest Lite. HAHA! I think it's a hilarious idea. I want to choose one from the original 150. I would LOVE to be Ninetails, but my idea would cost too much. T.T So I wish I had my sketch book so I could design more things.

Hardly any real jewelry

Well, I can't seem to locate my camera. I was feeling ready to take some pictures of my wares to post them for sale. And I've made some really cool clothes in the past couple months. It would be nice to show them off. Too bad my camera has been misplaced. Just this morning, I was working on a black gator print vest. I just have to put the button on. Oh and sew a button hole. I really hate button holes, but maybe I could get over it just this once... or I could sew on snaps and put the button over top. hahaha. I also made a grey silk skirt. I'm rather pleased with this one! I've also got a wool dress that I'm sort of on the fence about. But I'm sure with all the right accessories, it'll be great.

Also, my stuff hasn't come in the mail yet! I don't have my purple wigs. Psylocke and Ayane probably should have come in last week. And my doll shoes! The reason the doll shoes are late is because they were out of stock of one of the things I ordered. But it has been shipped. Maybe they got stuck at customs or whatever..? I need those doll shoes to be able to sell the Pullip costumes I made. So far, I've got Selphie and THF Rikku.

But my mom did find some old jewelry that she gave me but she still had it.... yeah. I don't really know what happened there. So I got a really pretty white gold chain. It had a lame angel pendant on it though. But the chain is perfect for the sterling silver cat face I bought at SDCC. And she also found some white gold hoop earrings. You think that I'd have more real jewelry considering my mom works at a jewelry store. But I still love my junk!

Sucks to live in a paranoid society

Last night was a good time. I think it may have been our last good night to do a shoot like that. Sure, it might not be too cold next week, but it was such a perfect night. I didn't shiver at all, there was no wind. Like it was meant to be. I didn't think it would be possible this late in the year.

So I'm sure Tali and I got some really pretty pictures out of Jess last night. She is fun to shoot with. So adorable. We started at the Busk Stop by Eau Claire. It was really pretty there at night. We could see the buildings all lit up from behind the trees. But I still wanted more urban pictures. So we moved out to the street. UGH! hahaha. It was hilarious. Found a really cool building, took some pictures on the steps. Soon, a security guard catches us and informs us that we could be arrested for taking pictures of the building. It's sort of a terrorist act. But he trusted us and just let us go. And on top of that, we were across the street from a bar. So I got lots of new fan boys...o.0 But I'm sure those pictures are cool.

We decided to call it a night because we weren't sure if security guards at other buildings would be so kind. We wound up waiting at the corner of 5th and Centre. That was my dream location. But there were too many people. I didn't really feel like having more fans. And we imagined that we would totally be arrested if we took pictures of a building in progress if we got caught. But the Bow is so cool right now! We were across the street from it though. No one would know! I kept my coat around my hips and we did some close up shots with the construction in the back round. I'm sure it worked. Then I was feeling better and I hid behind and pillar, took off my coat and got some more pictures.

It was a good night. Oh no! Lady Gaga, you still have my scarf? Anyway, back to FFVIII. I'ma get me some final weapons. I still haven't decided if I should bother drawing Eden from Ultima Weapon in the Deep Sea Research Facility, or just from the boss in Ultimecia Castle. The second way is soooo mush easier. But would Ultima Weapon be more satisfying?

Back to normal work

Moving Fabricland was pretty lame. But, it was fun because we didn't have to deal with customers and my boss couldn't keep track of the breaks we were taking. But some of the temp staff was really crappy. There was a really crazy lady who kept following me. Anyway, it's all over and the store is open. It's really nice. But now, I've got to deal with customers. They are the most annoying people ever. They hate new credit cards with the chips... oh god. Old people!!!! Efffff

I'm just happy I got to see Jared last night. He got some pretty cool swag from PAX. But he still hasn't told me all the details of the trip. And now Graham is living in the basement. He's cool though. Probably my favorite of Jared's friends. But I just hate people living down there at all. So I'm not going to do laundry. What if I go down with a load of laundry and he's there taking a dump? Then I wouldn't be able to do the laundry until the smell clears out of the bathroom/laundry room. I hate this set up. Having to use the tenant's bathroom to do the laundry. UGH!!!!

But tonight should be fun. Going out with Tali and Jess for night time Psylocke and Black Cat photos. I'm sure this will be our last chance to do this for the rest of the year. It's been getting colder and colder every evening. If only we were able to do this 2 weeks ago. It was a perfect night. T.T I'm actually glad we get to do this at all. It'll be so awesome.

So Lonely!!!

Since Jared went on his trip to PAX without me, I've been feeling rather lonely. I managed to distract myself with friends for only 2 days. UGH! Today I'm home alone.

But yesterday was a nice mall trip with Katty. We went to Chinook. Stopped by Chuckles first and I found a sword that might work for Celes. It's not a rapier though. But the plastic blade is really shiny!! And I guess I can make a scabbard. But I'm going to check all the costume shops before I buy one.
I bought three sweaters, nail polish and tights. I held off buying shoes. T.T Then I just went home and made 4 more pairs of doll socks.

I came home, and my brother brought a dog. He walks dogs and trains them. So there was a one year old golden retriever in the house again. She is so cute. I really miss having a dog around. But she was just so hyper! That was something I am not used to. Even my mom loved her. Even if she did eat a bowl of pasta that was on the counter when no one was in the kitchen. And of course my dad loved her. So maybe he'll get a dog soon. siiigh.

Today, my parents went to BC. I think they are just going for the night. That meant, I finally had time to play on the big TV. That is where my Wii is. And even though there aren't many good Wii games, it really sucks playing it on a small TV. I finished DQSwords. That is a fun game. Then I made a knit dress afterwards. I'm really taking it easy today since I've got tomorrow off too. But I am feeling rather bored now. T.T

2 for 3.

Whoaaaa. It's a good thing last night turned out okay. Because, damn, I was disappointed.

Work was fun though. We just carted fabric from the old store to the new one all day. Cart by cart. I realize the new store is literally around the corner, in the same complex, but seriously!! It takes FOREVER to do this. The district manager was too cheap to get us a truck. But I got to work with cool people! YEAH! And my assistant manager who was supervising the old store, let us have a 1/2 hour coffee break! But we actually took 45 minutes.

Then Tali and I met up for a photo shoot downtown. Then the photographer didn't show up. Turns out he could not find the train station. UGH! So we went to Chinatown for dinner. Salt and pepper squid. That did cheer me up a little bit. I can't be totally sad when eating that. Anyway, I was particularly disappointed because this was going to be one of my dream shoots. Downtown at night by the Bow (under construction) as Marvel heroes. Then we were going to meet up with a friend who was going to help us with the shoot. We didn't see him. So we went to Nanta and saw Mike D. That was nice.

So I was ditched 2 out of the 3 times I tried to meet up with someone this weekend. Today, I'm going to Chinook with Katty. That should be fun! I've got to buy tights and some sort of white-ish nail polish. Maybe I'll check out Chuckles for a sword and scabbard. I've got to get something nice for Celes eventually.

And speaking of nail polish, I bought some Sally Hansen HD nail polish. Yeah. it's Hi Def. It even says so. Yeah.

Doll time

Okay, I finally have my dolls. I have a Dal named Coral and the Hello Kitty Pullip. I have no excuses. I have to start making clothes for these dolls and I've got to try and sell them. I also have the ability to make clothes for Build A Bears and Toffees I suppose. However, Toffee dolls just came out this year and I don't think they've caught on just yet. Perhaps I can be the first to offer new outfits for them. Could be interesting.

So I found a set of accessories on ebay for Pullip-like dolls. It contains a purse, an ugly pair of green boots and boots that look just like Rikku from X-2. So I'm going to buy them and make a Rikku doll outfit. I'll try selling that. And the ugly boots actually pass for Dominique Cross' boots. So I'll make that too and see if that can sell. haha. I think it's a really great outfit for a Dal. ^^

Also, work has been pretty fun this week. Since the store is cleared out A LOT of things, people stopped coming in. There are so many cool fabrics that were in hiding though. Since we got rid of so much, they have risen from the depths, and I did buy more things. We were all desperate to get rid of somethings so I got tones of silk in remnants. I may have gotten over $100 of fabric in remnants for $13.

Tomorrow, I get to hang out with Jess. We are taking some lolita pictures! Should be a lot of fun.

Last few weekends of Summer?

So I had to cancel the photo shoot I had today. I don't really mind though. I didn't want to go out with some photographer that I didn't know to Banff alone. He might be a little offended. Instead, I spent sometime sun bathing with a book.

I read Spiderman: One More Day. It's a good read, but I feel that Peter Parker was being a little bitch most of the time. I realize that the decision he made not only saved Aunt May, and in the long run actually saved MJ. However, his motive seemed really self centered!!! He was doing it simply out of guilt, just to satisfy his own conscience.

I also read World War Hulk last night. Well I finished it this morning. Anyway, Hulk is the real victim here. I felt so bad for him. He earned some points in my book after reading Planet Hulk and World War Hulk. How would you feel if your friends shot you into space?!?! Jack asses.

So I think I'm going to read Demon in a Bottle soon. My dear sweet Tony Stark. Although he gets to be a huge ass hole with the whole hero registration thing... I think I need to read more of all them things to understand it some more. I'm not completely educated on the subject. So I'll let you know when I get there.

I did some cosplay things too. I've got 4 new costumes on the go for next year. And don't you dare ask me to do anymore. You know who you are. haha. I love you guys, but seriously. No more. Vanille, Psylocke, Ayane and Celes. I have wigs for all of them now. Either at home or on order. And shoes for all of them too. And some supplies laying around. Maybe I'll even be Psylocke for Halloween. Who knows.

The novelty is already gone

So I'm not regretting the metal bikini shoot, but I don't think I want to go in for another. It was an experience, I can laugh about it now, but I got it out of my system and it doesn't need to be repeated. Oh well! ^^;

But today was extra good model experience time! But first, there was a mishap.
I met Holly at her place and we gathered stuff for her shoot. Then we left and I got attacked by a dog. Nothing serious. Just two bites, one of my arm and the other on my upper-inner thigh. Didn't pierce my clothing, but damn wicked bruises are coming up. The owner just sort of yelled at the dog. Didn't do much to make him stop.

So Holly and I went to her friend's apartment to do the shoot. The hair was amazing! I got mega back combed with moss pinned in there, feathers and beads. One girl has bright red orange hair. She got back combed too, with a bird pinned in there and feathers. Then the other girl wore a blonde wig with a mini bird cage pinned in there like a crown, feathers and beads! ^^ And make up was really pretty too. I was impressed with these people! So we modeled Holly's creations. Went off without a hitch!!

I went back to Jared's place and reported the dog attack. Called the police who told me to call 311. UGH! So I filed a report. Gave them my home phone number because I'm coming home tonight anyway and my cell may be dying. So my mom called me shortly after to tell me that they would be calling me!!! UGH!!!!!! Because in the time it took for her to tell me that, they probably called my cell. And now, I missed the call and my phone could be dead. This is just a REALLY BOTHERSOME ordeal.

Cosplay and random modeling

I didn't post about Animethon! It's been a little while since I updated. Animethon is the worst convention ever, however, it was AWESOME because we didn't buy a con badge. Tali, Gabby and I were not interested in doing anything at the con. So we borrowed someone's badges, went into the vendors for 10 minutes, and didn't even buy anything. We basically, hung out with friends and took pictures all day, ate Ritz sandwiches and Cherry Blasters. Animethon is not worth the trip, but we made it fun!!

This weekend is turning out to be wicked hectic! Today, I was supposed to go to a coppersmith to check out some photo shoots for some metal bikinis. But the models both cancelled last minute. So long story short, I was the model today! Copper sea shells, pretty cute. I'm going to go back again to help with make up and things. And my real shoot is on the 7th.

Tomorrow, I'm going to model for my friend's fashion.. thing.. I guess it's her clothing line since she's already graduated from school. Should be cool! She's a very awesome lady! And she's pregnant. I should find out if she knows if she's having a boy or girl before I think about getting her a gift. ^^
It's so weird to have friends that are already a point in their life where they are good to have a baby. Makes me feel old... really immature. I could NEVER imagine myself with a baby!!

And I've got to bring a lot of stuff home from Jared's house. He actually got mad at me for leaving so much crap here even though I don't live here. I'm quite upset about the whole thing. But he is rather stressed because if he doesn't find another tenant, he has to sell the house in a couple months. But he's got one guy for sure, and another maybe. Hopefully things work out. T.T

New Bed

I'm at Jared's now. I decided to see him today because I'm going to be in Edmonton this weekend. But he's playing Prototype now.

He got a new bed. It's pretty awesome. I actually don't think I can hog a whole king size mattress. But I can always try.

My Animethon cosplay is okay. Friday and Saturday's costumes were sort of rush jobs. But they are still really cute. Then it's Chun-li alternate for Sunday. I was going to be Viper, but bringing her takes up way more room then Chun-li.

Work has been a mad house. It's gotten even worse now that everything in the store is anywhere from 60% to 75% off. That just happened yesterday. It's a good thing we aren't moving far. But I hate having to answer the same damn question every second customer. Where are you going? When? UGH!! I did manage to hold off on buying fabric for now. But I did get a pattern today. I do believe I have fabric for it at home. And if I don't, I'll just have to buy more. 0.o I'm so obsessed with these vintage dresses.

airplane madness

Woke up yesterday with a sore throat. It wasn't a good start to the day I was flying home. We didn't eat too much for breakfast. Just left over food in the fridge that we had.

Made our way to the airport. My bag weighed 61 lbs. 11 over the limit. So I had to switch lighter things for heavier things to my carry on bags. Got it down to 51 lbs. Good enough! I had time to do this because our flight was delayed. The 6 of us hung out at the little food court to kill time. Then found out that our flight was cancelled. The really nice lady at the desk hooked us up with a flight to Denver, then to Calgary. So instead of getting home at 4, we were to land in Calgary at midnight.

Then the flight to Denver was delayed a little bit. Luckily, that didn't affect us getting on the next flight. But when we were flying, that is when I started to get sick. I was freezing. There weren't enough blankets to go around or something. I was reading, however, reading in a plane doesn't normally give me motion sickness. But I felt really nauseous. However, I didn't throw up. I was really faint. And I didn't even feel like I was in my own body for a bit there. I may have panicked a little bit. I managed to fall asleep on Jared's arm.

We didn't have much time in between flights, but I made sure I got some nutritious food in my belly. A Quiznos sub and some milk. I felt a bit better. But I still needed a blanket. I asked the lady at the front. She said they don't normally have extra blankets in first class. And then I asked the lady at the back of the plane. She said they don't normally have blankets in coach. WTF?!?!? Then she goes to say that they will only give them out if they are wrapped in plastic and they were low on stock. So then Jared had to go up and get a shirt from his bag for me. He was a little cranky about it because he had to stand up again and his feet were really killing him. And I said just loud enough for the flight attendant to hear, "Well I can't help it if they refuse to give me a blanket." So she ended up finding a blanket for me. But it wasn't wrapped in plastic. And I ended up finding a blonde hair on it later.

Some how, Jared and I got a row of seats to ourselves. So I got to lay down and slept on his lap! My parents picked me up from the airport and I slept like a log. I woke up, and yeah. I'm still sick. Ugh. But I'm cleaning today. I'm going to get rid of tones of stuff.

More things!!!

More things I just remembered from Comic Con:
I met Tycho and Gabe from Penny Arcade. Jared bought their books and I got the first one signed. Gabe was very sweet to me. Tycho was already all up in a conversation, so he wasn't really paying attention.
A guy recognized me from cos.com. That was very flattering. And I didn't get pictures of Nariko on the beach. I just don't trust the photography of anyone I'm with here. It wouldn't have been worth the trouble.

But of course, we went to Las Americas outlet shopping mall. We took the trolly all the way down to the Mexican border. Well it was a few blocks away. And the mall was there! But it felt like we were in Mexico. We could see Tijuana! Now most malls out here are shaped like a normal mall, but they just don't have a roof! It's really nice. Too bad a lot of the stores aren't actually outlets!!! haha. The stores that I bought stuff at that were not real outlets were: Claires and Hot Topic. I got a "Play me off Keyboard Cat" t-shirt at Hot Topic. haha.

However, I got wicked deals at Sally Beauty Supply!!! 2 yaki ponys and 2 matching drawstring puffy crimpy extensions all for $32. There is a store call Papaya. I got 2 pairs of jeans and a necklace for about $35. And to top it off, I got some slick Nike high tops for $30.

When I get home, I'm going to clean and re organize my rooms to fit all my new things. So hopefully I'll be able to give away, sell, pack away, and throw out some stuff. I do that about 2 times a year and I always get rid of at least a garbage bag worth of stuff! How can that be?!?!

I'll be back in town tomorrow evening. T.T But I assure you, my wallet is thankful.

Everyone is still sleeping.

I actually don't know what time everyone wanted to be up this morning. So I'm just going to kill some time here.

The plan for today is to go on a tour of the USS Midway. It's an old battle ship. A bunch of people are going to go, and I'm going to tag along. But I'm not going on the tour because it's $17 and I'm too poor and not very interested. From there, we are going to the outlet mall! Oh man! I don't even know what stores are in it though.

Yesterday was great. It was food excursion day. Went to dim sum. So good! Then on the way back, the guys just had to try KFC down here. There was a civil war within Jared's stomach to say the least. We went home and chilled. We had Indian food for dinner. I never had that before. One of the guys we are with is Indian, and he was so impressed with the restaurant we went to. I'm glad I got really good food on the first try. It was wonderful! ^^

On the way back, we had to try Pinkberry. Gootecks recommended it. (BTW: Jared met and got a picture with Gootecks at the con. WHOOOO! I'm sad I missed him) Pinkberry is really tasty. I can't even figure out what flavor it's suppose to be.

Some other things I may have forgotten to mention: We only took the party bus on that one day of the con. We figured out how to use public transit. SOOO much cheaper, holy crap. We haven't gone to the beach and probably won't have time to now. The Mexican restaurant we tried on Friday was amazing.
I'm sure there are more things I could add, but I'll remember later.
